Each article is arranged by Destination. Feel free to browse and leave comments as it only helps your fellow cruise travelers. We look for articles for those doing self-explore excursions, or if doing guided tours and post them to share. Always remember, doing your own tours, you must always watch your time and have plenty of time to get back to the port, thru customs and on to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Typically, 3 hours ahead of departure and always check with Ship Time before you disembark. If you like less stress, you can use the information on this site to help choose a destination offered by the Ship’s Cruise Line Excursions which can take the stress out of a DIY tour because that group is sanctioned by the Cruise Line and always together as a group. Even then, though you still have to abide by departure times of the group. The key message is to enjoy yourself, but also be mindful of times, pick-up times, and be waiting for the pickup, not running to the pickup point. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there of people not minding their time. The key message is be mindful of the time on any excursion, double check with crew on departure with your watch for ship time, arrive back to the ship a few hours early, and it will be enjoyable experience off the ship.
